The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to stipulate the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between the Korean Committee for UNICEF (the “Committee”) and Sponsoring Members in relation to Sponsorship for supporting all activities and projects carried out by the Committee in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Articles of Association.

The terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall have the following meanings:

1. “Sponsorship” means the act of donating property, including movable property (such as money, securities, and other goods) and immovable property, to the Committee without consideration, on a regular or occasional basis, in order to support the Committee's inherent functions.
2. “Sponsoring Member” or “Sponsor” means an individual, organization, or corporation that provides “Donated Property” to the Committee as Sponsorship.
3. “Regular Sponsorship” means the donation of a fixed amount to the Committee on a monthly basis through a designated payment method. A Sponsoring Member who provides Regular Sponsorship is referred to as a “Regular Sponsor.”
4. “Occasional Sponsorship” or “One-time Sponsorship” means the donation of a fixed amount to the Committee on an ad hoc or one-time basis. A Sponsoring Member who provides “Occasional Sponsorship” is referred to as an “Occasional Sponsor.”
5. “Donated Property” means any property, including movable property (such as donations in cash), and immovable property, provided by a Sponsoring Member to the Committee through Sponsorship.

1. When entering into a sponsorship agreement, the Committee shall explain the key terms of these Terms and Conditions to the Sponsoring Member in an easily understandable manner, and, upon request, provide the Sponsoring Member with a copy of these Terms and Conditions in writing, by email, or through other means.
2. The Committee shall make these Terms and Conditions easily accessible to Sponsoring Members by posting them on the main page of the website managed and operated by the Committee, or by placing a link on that main page.
3. Where a Sponsoring Member and the Committee enter into an individual sponsorship agreement, such as a legacy donation agreement or a social contribution agreement, that agreement shall prevail over these Terms and Conditions.
4. The Committee may amend these Terms and Conditions to the extent that such amendment does not violate relevant laws and regulations, including the 「Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions」 and the 「Personal Information Protection Act」.
5. If the Committee intends to amend these Terms and Conditions, it shall, at least 15 days prior to the effective date, post on the main page of the website managed and operated by the Committee, or on a page linked thereto, the effective date of the amended Terms and Conditions, the reasons for the amendment, and the details of the amendment.
6. Notwithstanding paragraph 5, where an amendment to the Terms and Conditions is disadvantageous to Sponsoring Members, the Committee shall post notice of the amendment at least 30 days prior to the effective date and shall also notify Sponsoring Members separately by electronic means such as email.
7. If a Sponsoring Member does not agree to the amendment under paragraph 5, the Sponsoring Member may suspend or terminate Sponsorship. However, if the Sponsoring Member does not express an objection within seven days from the effective date of the amended Terms and Conditions and provides Sponsorship at least once thereafter, the Sponsoring Member shall be deemed to have agreed to the amendment.

1. A sponsorship agreement shall be formed upon the Sponsoring Member's application for Sponsorship and consent to these Terms and Conditions, and the Committee's acceptance thereof.
2. Consent to these Terms and Conditions shall be given when the Sponsoring Member indicates such consent at the time of applying for Sponsorship, whether in writing, by email, by telephone, or by other means.
3. Where a minor under the age of 19 wishes to provide Sponsorship in his or her own name, the consent of a parent or other legal representative is required for the provision of the minor's personal information and for the application for Sponsorship.
4. A Sponsoring Member shall provide certain personal information requested by the Committee at the time of application for Sponsorship. The personal information provided shall be strictly managed and protected in accordance with the Committee's Privacy Policy and applicable laws and regulations.
5. Where a parent or other legal representative wishes to provide Sponsorship in the name of a minor child, the Committee may request, in addition to the minor's personal information, the personal information of the legal representative.
6. Where the name of the applicant differs from the name of the holder of a bank account or credit card, the Committee may request the personal information of the account or card holder in addition to that of the applicant.
7. Where the Sponsoring Member is an organization or corporation, the Committee may request, for purposes such as issuing receipts, the personal information of the person in charge as well as the business registration number, unique identification number, or, in the case of donations by officers and employees, the personal information of the relevant individuals.

The Committee may refuse a sponsorship application, cancel a sponsorship agreement, or decline to receive Sponsorship until the relevant cause is remedied in any of the following cases:

1. Where false information is provided in the sponsorship application or required information is not submitted;
2. Where a minor under the age of 19 applies for sponsorship without the consent of a legal representative;
3. Where the applicant engages in conduct that significantly damages the reputation of the Committee;
4. Where the applicant intends to provide Sponsorship for purposes contrary to public order or good morals;
5. Where the application otherwise violates the policies of the Committee or UNICEF Headquarters, or applicable laws and regulations.

1. A Sponsoring Member may participate in Regular Sponsorship by providing payment method information, such as direct debit or credit card, at the time of application for Sponsorship.
2. Upon application for Regular Sponsorship, The Regular Sponsorship amount will be processed through the payment method provided by the Sponsoring Member, either on the date designated by the Sponsoring Member or on the date indicated by the Committee. If the payment is not successfully processed, the Committee may attempt to recharge the amount.
3. Regular Sponsorship shall be maintained, unless there are special circumstances, until the Sponsoring Member expresses an intention to suspend Sponsorship or to terminate the sponsorship agreement.

1. A Sponsoring Member may participate in Occasional Sponsorship by making an online payment through the Committee’s website or fundraising platforms, by transferring funds to a publicly designated One-time Sponsorship account in the name of the Committee, by direct delivery, or by transferring funds through other platforms.
2. A Sponsoring Member may convert Occasional Sponsorship into Regular Sponsorship, in which case the Committee may request the provision of additional personal information. In such circumstances, the relevant Occasional Sponsor shall be deemed to be a Regular Sponsor from the time the conversion procedure is completed.

1. The Committee shall use Donated Property provided by Sponsoring Members in accordance with the Committee’s purposes of establishment and business plans, and through lawful, fair, and transparent procedures and methods, and shall regularly disclose information on such activities through the website managed and operated by the Committee, newsletters for members, and other means.
2. Donated Property provided for a designated purpose by a Sponsoring Member shall be used for such designated purpose; provided, however, that the specific methods of management and reporting shall be subject to separate agreement.
3. The Committee may, if necessary, sell or otherwise dispose of Donated Property other than monetary donations and use the proceeds.
4. The value of Donated Property provided to the Committee out of inherited property by the decedent or the heir prior to the deadline for filing the inheritance tax base shall not be included in the taxable value of the inheritance.
5. In the case of real estate donations, taxes such as acquisition tax and registration tax arising from the transfer of ownership to the Committee, and capital gains tax upon subsequent disposal, may be imposed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

1. The Committee shall take the necessary steps to ensure that Sponsorship is duly effected from the date agreed with the Sponsoring Member.
2. Where a Sponsoring Member raises a complaint or requests a change of personal information, the Committee shall review the matter, and, if deemed necessary, take appropriate steps without delay through proper procedures and notify the Sponsoring Member of the outcome.
3. The Committee shall take appropriate measures to ensure the smooth provision of services to Sponsoring Members and to improve service quality.
4. The Committee shall strictly manage and protect the personal information provided by Sponsoring Members in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws and regulations.

1. A Sponsoring Member shall provide all information truthfully and under his or her real name when applying for Sponsorship or when changing personal information. If false information or another person's information is registered without authorization, the Sponsoring Member may not be able to assert rights against the Committee.
2. A Sponsoring Member shall be responsible for managing his or her own personal information, such as address and contact details, and the Committee shall not be liable for any disadvantage arising from the failure of the Sponsoring Member to notify changes or other updates to such personal information.
3. A Sponsoring Member shall comply with these Terms and Conditions and other applicable laws and regulations, and shall not interfere with the Committee's operations or engage in conduct that damages the reputation of the Committee.
4. A Sponsoring Member shall not use the Committee's brand, logo, or other proprietary marks without the Committee's prior consent. The Committee shall not be responsible for any consequences of unauthorized use, and may claim damages from the Sponsoring Member if the Committee suffers loss as a result.
5. A Sponsoring Member shall not impersonate the Committee's executives, staff, or other stakeholders.

1. The Committee shall regularly and transparently disclose information on the Committee’s activities and projects to Sponsoring Members.
2. The Committee may send emails, SMS messages, or other communications to Sponsoring Members to provide information on the Committee’s activities and to inform them of Sponsorship opportunities. However, this shall not apply where a Sponsoring Member has opted out of receiving such information.
3. A Sponsoring Member may receive a tax credit for Sponsorship funds attributable to the relevant year in the year-end tax adjustment of the immediately preceding year’s income. Provided, however, that the Committee shall perform the service of registering on behalf of the Sponsoring Member for the simplified year-end tax adjustment service with the National Tax Service only where the Sponsoring Member has provided the Committee with his or her 13-digit resident registration number for the issuance of a donation receipt.
4. The Committee shall not be liable for the provision of services in any of the following cases:
   1. where performance of its obligations is impossible due to force majeure such as natural disasters, war, or other comparable events;
   2. where disadvantage or damage arises due to reasons attributable to the Sponsoring Member;
   3. where damage is deemed to have arisen without reasons attributable to the Committee.

1. Where a Sponsoring Member wishes to terminate Sponsorship, the Sponsoring Member or his or her legal representative shall directly submit a request for termination to the Committee through the website operated by the Committee, by email (donor@unicef.or.kr), or by telephone (02-737-1004).
2. Upon receipt of a Sponsorship termination request, the Committee shall process the termination after confirming the identity of the Sponsoring Member. In such case, the Committee may request personal information or related documents from the Sponsoring Member or his or her legal representative.
3. Following the termination of Sponsorship, certain personal information necessary for the issuance of certificates and other documents shall be retained for membership management purposes in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and these Terms and Conditions. Provided, however, that where a Sponsoring Member requests the deletion of personal information, the registered personal information shall be deleted, and upon such deletion, the Committee shall no longer provide membership management services such as the issuance of certificates.

1. Donated Property provided by Sponsoring Members to the Committee shall not be returned under any circumstances, except in exceptional cases where there is a legal basis.
2. Where costs such as gift tax arise in connection with the refund of Sponsorship funds, such costs shall be borne by the Sponsoring Member requesting the refund.

1. Where there is an individual sponsorship agreement, such as a major donation, a legacy donation, or a social contribution agreement, that agreement shall take precedence over these Terms and Conditions.
2. Matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions and their interpretation shall be governed by the relevant laws and regulations or established practices.

1. In the event of any dispute arising between the Committee and a Sponsoring Member in relation to Sponsorship or related matters, both parties shall make their best efforts to resolve the dispute through mutual and amicable communication.
2. If the dispute is not resolved amicably under paragraph 1 and litigation is initiated, the competent court shall be determined in accordance with the procedures prescribed by law.
